Be Water My Friend

A group of people related to the world of water polo founded the association Be Water My Friend (BWMF) at the end of 2012 with the idea of promoting and energizing sports activities. Since then, BWMF has organized many tournaments and actions in the field of water polo over this time, achieving great brand prestige at a national and international level.

In September 2013, the 1st BWMF Cup was held with the participation of 32 teams from 6 different countries, for the U13 and U15 categories. In 2016, the Junior edition was held for players under 17 years of age.

The first two editions were held at the Serradells sports complex in Andorra. In 2015, the venue was moved to the Lloret de Mar swimming pool.

BWMF currently organises the U15 tournament at the end of August, while at Christmas it is the turn of the U17s. Both tournaments bring together male and female teams from various countries around the world.

In 2024, the BWMF CUP will celebrate its tenth edition and we would like to see you there to celebrate this anniversary together.

The Mission

BWMF aims to offer the water polo community, whether it be entities, teams or individual athletes, the necessary support to achieve their sporting goals.

Goals

1. Organize men's and women's tournaments so that water polo players can increase their skills through competition.

2. Form combined teams that allow players to acquire new sporting experiences by competing with teammates and coaches other than those in their Club.

3. Offer requesting entities the technical and organizational support of Clinics or Campuses with the aim of creating motivating actions for the continuity and sporting improvement of participants.

4. Plan and schedule sports stages where water polo is not the only activity. Tourism and leisure must also be an important part of personal growth.

5. Advising a water polo club or section on how to organise its basic sports structure in order to optimise the organisation's own resources. Collaboration with coaches or facilitating the sporting and personal progress of players would be another characteristic of collaborations with potential interested parties.
